TGIF……TEACHER GRANTS…..IDEAS FINANCED!
CUA is proud to sponsor the TGIF teacher classroom grant program. TGIF is a program which provides grant funds to any private or public school teacher who is a member of CUA. Teachers complete a grant request by mail or by completing the application on our web site. This grant request will detail how the funds will be applied, how many students will be reached and what results the teacher anticipates from the program.
Paper applications are no longer available. Online applications are available during grant sessions, and may be submitted electronically or may be printed and mailed to CUA.
NEWS FLASH...Grants now available from $25-$500. Grants are reviewed by a panel of CUA employees and volunteers twice a year (spring and fall). Grants are awarded based on educational benefit.
TGIF Visa Credit Card Program
CUA offers a Visa Classic and Gold credit card with the unique TGIF logo design. These cards will carry the same low competitive terms as other CUA Visa Classic and Gold credit cards with one special difference. CUA will donate 4% of all interest paid on these credit card programs to fund the TGIF program. The more the card is used and interest paid, the more funds will go into the TGIF program. More teachers and students will ultimately benefit by CUA members using this card for all their purchases.
Don’t pay interest? Just using the card for each purchase you make, allows the community to see the TGIF design and be made aware of this special program and its benefit to the educators of this area.
You aren’t an educator? You can still choose to carry the card and in doing so, show your support for the local educators and students who will benefit from this program. When you submit your Visa application, note that you wish carry the TGIF Visa card!
Grant Sessions
The spring grant session is open between April 1 and June 30 and a link to the application will be on-line during that time. Spring session grants are awarded mid-August. The fall grant session is open between August 1 and October 31. Fall session grants are awarded mid-December.
