Requesting Title Work
What happens when the loan pays off?
The loan should hit a payoff report once it is paid in full. After three business days, Credit Union of America will release the lien. If the loan is paid with a personal check, the title will be released after 10 business days.
Title work will be mailed directly to you if you are the one who pays off the loan. If insurance or an auto dealer pays the loan off, the lien release will be mailed to them and they can then file for a title.
Out of State:
Call 316.265.3272, ext. 38 or check with your local Department of Motor Vehicles for details regarding out of state title work. Click here
for more information.
Lien releases are done the same way as a clean title. The website we use does not specify whether it is a clean or salvaged title.

What's the difference between a Credit Union and a Bank?
Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives, who pay their members back in the form of higher savings rates and lower borrowing rates than traditional financial institutions. Credit Union of America is governed by a volunteer board vs. a paid board of directors. Credit union member funds are insured by the NCUA, similar to the FDIC. Currently deposits are protected up to $250,000.
Are there any loan discounts available?
Members whose auto loans are not funded at the lowest available Annual Percentage Rate may be eligible for two offered discounts:
Checking and Direct Deposit- Open a CUA checking account and set up a direct deposit attached to the account for up to 0.50%APR off your loan.
Educators- Members working in the field of education may be eligible for up to 0.25%APR off their loan.
