Be alert for fraud.
Fraudsters are placing phone calls to consumers of local banks and credit unions, including Credit Union of America members, to gather information making it easier for them to commit fraud. Calls may even appear as Credit Union of America (CUA) on your caller ID.
CUA will never call, text or email you to verify online or mobile banking usernames, passwords, or verification codes.
Additionally, you should NEVER give personal information to anyone that contacts you over the phone. That includes:
- Social Security Number
- Birth Date
- Contact Information (phone/address/email)
- Debit or Credit Card Information- card number, expiration, or CVV (3-digit code on back)
If you receive a call like this, please hang up immediately and call us directly at 316.265.3272 or 800.256.8049.
While we do everything we can to protect your accounts, giving out personal information puts you at risk. If you have questions or would like more information on keeping your money safe, please call us.
