Visa Credit Cards

Frequently Asked Questions

Obtaining a credit card through a credit union is a great choice because they often have better interest rates and lower fees than other financial institutions. Unlike banks, credit unions are nonprofit organizations, and their primary goal is to serve the needs of their members instead of generating profits.

To open a credit card with a credit union, you first need to become a member. You can then apply for a credit card by completing an application and providing the necessary documentation. Once approved, you'll receive your credit card in the mail within 7 to 10 days.

It may be easier to get a credit card from a credit union compared to a bank because credit unions have a more member-focused approach to lending. Also, for those who don't qualify for unsecured cards, credit unions may offer secured cards to help members improve their credit.
