Effective January 3, 2022, CUA’s share balance requirement changed. Previously a $25 deposit was required in the share/savings account for membership benefits. Now it’s just $1. 

Why?

It’s simple. We want to make CUA membership more accessible to all. 

This change will be reflected in existing members’ available balance. Instead of holding the $25 to keep the membership share account open, your available balance will show $24 more than before. Only $1 will be held as unavailable to maintain a valid membership. If you decide to close the account, the $1 will be released at that time.
